We decided to check out this new restaurant and were not disappointed! We were seated immediately to take in the detailed decor and ambiance. I started with the Spicy Margarita-which was huge! Ask for the Tajin rim. I was happy to have multiple vegetarian options for Mexican food and went with the Fajitas Vegetales. My boo got the Fajitas Molcajete. Both were ample portion sizes. Multiple servers were very attentive and the manager stopped by a couple of times. Dessert to go is my favorite - churros! This is definitely our new go-to Mexican restaurant in Laurel. Please don't change a thing!

The service is quick and they have a decent variety menu. The waiter was nice and friendly and the bartenders were excellent in explaining all of the components of the drinks I ordered. It is your typical Mexican restaurant, lively with music playing in the background and plenty of Marque.

Buen comida. Stopped in at the new place just to check it out. Disclosure: I have eaten in Mexico, as well as the southwest US, so the bar is pretty high. All the standard dishes were on the menu, except tamales. I went for the Burrito Loco, mainly for the Oaxacan black mole. Its bitter notes might be off-putting to some, but brought me some happy memories. The salsa por totopos was the best I've had lately. Chunky, fresh, generous serving, enough kick to clear my sinuses but not enough to induce scalp sweat. The chips themselves were fresh and crisp, but didn't have a lot of corn flavor. The guacamole had a nice blend of smooth and chunky, but I would have added a bit more garlic and cilantro. The aroma of the fajitas at a nearby table was tantalizing. Aficionados of agave will be very happy with the whole page of Margaritas on offer. Service was absolutely on point. Music was at a level that didn't injure my gringo ears. If the burrito filling had been up to the quality of the sides, I would be thinking of 5 stars, but it's a solid 4 if you're looking for Mexican food that's not heavily americanized.

Spontaneously wanted to eat dinner out on a Saturday night... it should've come as no surprise that it was going to be really crowded LOL. I decided to go in, it was loud as I expected. But everyone was cheery and appeared to be having a grand time. I tried to sit at the bar first -- it was completely full, both inside and outside -- YES, outside. I like that there's an outdoor portion, adds a nice vibe. The decor is lovely in there too! Definitely a nice sight to take in. When I got seated at a high table, it wasn't long before someone came to take orders and such. I just drank water, and they had three menus: food, drinks, and special plates. I should've taken a picture of the menu, but I thought it'd be here for a reference, but the descriptions of the special plates sounded like a LOT of food. I asked the staff if it was too much for one person and they assured me it would be alright. I ordered what I think was named the Platos Frito, which was the only one that didn't have red meat on it (I wasn't in the mood). It was of fried seafood and some shellfish. Just refer to my pic -- it was INSANE!!! There was no way I could finish that on my own. Snapper, oysters, mussels, shrimp, bacon/cheese-wrapped shrimp, loaded calamari... I wasn't ready!!! This was easily split into 3 meals. And did I enjoy it? ABSOLUTELY! Next time I'm going to try things like their tacos & quesadillas. The place is definitely nice and I like how they celebrate birthdays... it gets festive. I'll be back!

The service was a little slow, but all in all had a good experience. The drinks were ok and had a really good presentation. The fresh guacamole was decent and the steak fajita was very flavorful. Tried the Chesapeake(old bay) wings and they were good, cooked right and seasoned right! The scenery was nice, they have a two sided bar with one side of the bar is outside and they have plenty of outside seating. A downside is the bar doesn't have an abundance of TVs. Definitely a place I would return to.

I met up with a friend for a belated Cinco de Mayo hang last week. This is the old Applebee's! The vibe is nice! Love the decor and the cool photo opp in the front. We sat in the bar area. They have happy hour on drinks only. I tried the house margarita. For $1 more can do a flavor. My drink was good! The street tacos (chicken) were yummy. It needed some sauce to accompany them. I asked for hot sauce and got offered a few options, including their house made ones, which are hot hot but perfect for me. Service by Julia was great! I can't wait to come back. Taco Tuesday anyone?

Date: Sunday April 28, 2024 Service: things started a little slow but not for long. I think they had to find a server for us since we did not speak Spanish fluently. The majority of the servers did not speak English. Which was ok with us because we knew we were in good hands! Ambiance: once you walk by the hostess station, it feels like "welcome to San Juan Puerto Rico"! There's festive music, plenty of conversation, servers smiling and talking to customers and let's not talk about the birthday celebrations. It's a WHOLE AMIGO's VIBE!! My bday was earlier this month and if you know an Aries , we celebrate all month so I might go tomorrow on the last day of April! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food: YUM YUM!!! The menu has endless options for your palette! We were a bit overwhelmed to hurry and make a decision so we decided to order appetizers! Were we wrong! I ordered Al pastor sopas, guacamole and elote loco. It was so delicious!! We also ordered one drink each. A MAZ ING!!! When my food came I was thoroughly surprised. The portion sizes are unbelievable! I could've shared my dish with my daughter. It was just that generous. Recommend: I would absolutely recommend that you visit Amigo's not now but right NOW!!!! It's so flavorful that I wanted to chew slow to savor the moment.
